NCH : TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to National Consumer helpline website, If you continue to browse and use this (www.nationalconsumerhelpline.in) website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service ("TOS") for use , together with our privacy policy / Disclaimer in relationship with consumer (“you”) and to this website.

1.Acceptence of Terms
  • You should agree to these terms and conditions before using this website. The term "NCH" or "us" or "we" refers to National Consumer Helpline whose registered office is at Indian Institute of Public Administration Delhi . The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.
2. General conditions
  • Under no circumstances is NCH liable in any way for any content, for its impact on you and/or your business. This includes, but is not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, or otherwise transmitted via the product.
3. Description of Service
  • 3.1) NCH mission is to provide its services and supports consumers through its website by :

    - Guiding consumers in finding solutions to problems related to Products & Services.
    - Providing information related to Companies and Regulatory Authorities. - Facilitating consumers in filing complaints against defaulting Service Providers
    - Empowering consumers to use available Consumer Grievances Redressal. Mechanisms, Educating Consumers about their Rights and Responsibilities.

    NCH is an advisory body and in any case will not liable to resolve consumer grievances against any company / service providers. NCH sole aim is “To provide information, advice and guidance to empower Indian consumers and persuade businesses to reorient their policy and management systems to address consumer concerns and grievances adopting world class standards.”

    3.2) NCH provides a web based service through its website for Indian consumers seeking information about consumer rights and providing a facility for consumer to file their grievance against defaulting service Providers via “Complaint Handling and Management System”.

    3.3) The Service (or parts of it), may be accessed by consumer or made available through website or internet on mobile. You must acknowledge that certain parts of the Service are available only via certain medium / devices / communication network Channels. The communications could made available to consumer through SMS (Short Message Service), Email, and/or other Internet or telecommunications services or protocols (such as WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)) (collectively, the "Channels").

    3.4) Service Notification: Any communication may be made as part of services from NCH such as website version Updation via push notification through SMS /Email, NCH E-Newsletter, consumer advisories / tips etc. These all shall be subject to the TOS.
  • WEBSITE / SOFTWARE USAGE OBLIGATIONS 

    Registration Data In consideration for registration form, you agree to provide true and accurate, current and complete information about yourself and must maintain and update your registration Data to keep it safe and complete. Any inaccurate or incomplete information provided will be summarily rejected by NCH. NCH Website may provide Un-restricted access to some/ part of the modules for which registration is not required but in that case, your identification is based on your machine IP or communications subscription number provided by your network operator that you must agree to allow via this service reference. You will receive login account details only after completing the registration form . You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login account details , and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your login account. You agree to immediately notify NCH of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. NCH cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this Section. 
  • DEVICE CONFIGURATION & COMPATIBILITY

    In order to use the Service, consumer must keep their PC upto date with proper operating system and antivirus packages / utilities installed in the mobile devices and must obtain access to this software at their own cost. When you use the NCH Website, you may also be using the services of one or more third parties, such as a wireless carrier or a mobile platform provider. Your use of these third party services may be subject to the separate policies, terms of use, and fees of these third parties. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the set-up, configuration or compatibility of the PC/devices for obtaining access to the NCH services and any communication channel whatsoever. If any alteration in the whole or any part of Service requires changes in your hardware, software or other equipment, you must effect these changes at your own expense.
4. Content
  • The National Consumer helpline reserves the right of www.nationalconsumerhelpline.in website which is designed and developed by NCH to facilitate faster dissemination and easy access to information related to consumer grievances. Any Liability claims regarding damages caused by the use of any information provided, including any kind of information which is incomplete or incorrect, will therefore be rejected. The pages and sections of the website or complete publication including all offers and information might be extended, changed or partly or completely deleted by NCH at any time without separate announcement. Your use of any information or material on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which NCH shall not be liable. The information and services included or available may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes are periodically added to the information herein.NCH may make improvements and/or changes at any time.
5. Referrals and links
  • NCH is not responsible for any contents linked or referred website linked with NCH website which may have illegal / incorrect/incomplete contents or publishing on the other website. These links are provided for your convenience for further information. They do not signify that we endorse the websites. We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).If any damage occurs by the use of information presented on these websites, NCH will not be responsible for the same. Furthermore NCH is not liable for any postings or messages published by users on discussion boards, guest books or mailing lists etc.
