Performance Report - January 2014:
NCH Advises Consumer Detriment of Rs. 5.50 Crores

  • The total consumer detriment in the month has been computed at Rs. 5, 50, 24,756 for 1492 dockets. This was calculated on the basis of average consumer detriment value in each sector. This month value wise, the top four sectors are Real Estate, Legal, Automobiles, and Products. 
  • The total no. of dockets made / updated from calls handled at Call Centre, SMS received along with Complaints registered online at NCH Website during January, was 5847. 3612 calls were received at Toll free number, 620 dockets were made / updated from outbound calls to consumers from the helpline and 2235 complaints were reported on NCH Website - Online Complaint Management System. These calls are included in the total of 5847 calls handled in January 2014.
  • The 'Product‘ sector contributed 23.65% of the calls i.e. 1383. Telecom is at the second position at 20.49%. Calls related to Telecom, Products, E-Commerce, LPG/PNG, Automobiles and Education have shown an increased share of percentage. The rest of the top five sectors are 'E-commerce‘, 'Banking‘ and LPG/PNG registering between 8% to 3% of total calls. 
    Responses to complaints/ feedback received for January 2014 are 1109. Out of this, 967 complaints were responded to by various companies under convergence. 113 consumers either called back on the helpline to inform that their complaint has been resolved or informed of the resolution of their complaint through email/fax/ letter.
