NCH Participation in Events

NCH organizes and participates in events related to consumer education and empowerment on a regular basis. Listed below are some of these events, organized in the recent past:

MEDIA INTERACTION :

NCH has been active in spreading Consumer Awareness through media interactions. Prof. Sri Ram Khanna, Principal Investigator, NCH was present for various discussions and interviews on issues related to consumer affairs and consumer protection.

April 20th, 2013 Training Session on Legal Sector

NCH invited Dr. Premlata, Member, District Consumer Forum, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi to hold a session on the consumer problems arising after a case is filed in a consumer forum to the counselors in NCH to understand the legal process and the rights of the consumer in such a case for providing better guidance and advise to consumer.
April 18th, 2013 Round Table Conference

NCH's Sector Incharge for Telecom Sector, Mr. Hemant Upadhyay participated in a round table conference organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on issues related to Digitization & Regulation on Advertisements on Television Channels.
April 12th, 2013 Training Session on Medical Services

NCH invited Dr. Lalit Verma, Secretary Central Council of Homoeopathy to hold a session on the consumer problems arising with respect to medical services availed in Homoeopathy for the counselors in NCH to understand the redressal system available for delivering better guidance and advise to consumer.
March 30th, 2013 Workshop

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. conducted a Consumer Education Workshop - An Open House Session- to enhance public interface in which NCH members participated.
March 19th, 2013 Workshop on Corporate's Role In Securing Digital Environment

NCH was invited for a workshop conducted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on Corporate's Role In Securing Digital Environment.
March 14-15th, 2013 Conference by NCDRC

NCH was invited for a conference conducted by National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day.
March 13th, 2013 jAGRITI- An NCH initiative towards making an informed consumer

NCH team conducted "Jagriti" program consisting of a presentation being given on consumer awareness (Consumer Rights & Responsibility and Role of NCH in guiding consumers to seek redressal to their consumer complaints) for the students of Aggarwal College of Management, Ballabhgarh, Haryana.
March 7th, 2013 National Seminar

NCH Manager, Ms. Deepika Sur participated in the National Seminar cum Consultation on "Mediation in Consumer Disputes" conducted by FICCI.
February 21-22nd, 2013 Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Summit 2013

An International Conference was conducted by CCH India (a Wolters Kluwer business) in association with Knowledge partner Nisith Desai Associates. NCH members, Ms. Deepika Sur, Manager, NCH and Mr. Sanjeev Talwar, Senior Counselor participated in the conference.
February 18-19th, 2013 Workshop on the use of Cloud-based solutions for enterprises

A workshop was conducted by 9.9 Media on ‘Cloud: The Easy Next Step’, focusing on the use of cloud-based solutions for enterprises. NCH members - Mr. Hemant Upadhyay, Sector Incharge, Telecom and Mr. Ravikar Shukla, Web Master participated in the workshop.
January 18th, 2013 MTNL

NCH members visited MTNL, Karol bagh office to get a transactional account opened for sending bulk sms from NCH. NCH members had a discussion with Mr. Mukul Kamble - DGC (WSC) with respect to the same.
January 12th, 2013 FICCI & FACC

First Trust Mark Working Group Meeting based on the contributions received on the Consumer Education Material for trust deficit sectors was organised by FICCI and FACC. NCH was invited to participate in the same.
December 20th, 2012 Spot Study

Mr. Kanwarjit Singh, (I.F.S), Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Special Secretary to Government, Irrigation & CAD Department, visited NCH to do a spot study at NCH to collect supporting documentation and evidence on the achievements, outputs and outcomes claimed by the nomination filed by NCH for the National E-Governance Award.
November 20th, 2012 CAG WORKSHOP - TRAI (Consumer education workshop with Customer Advocacy Groups)

NCH members, participated in the Consumer Education Workshop organised by Tata Teleservices Ltd. in their office at A Old Ishwar Nagar, Main Mathura Road, Opposite New Friends Colony, New Delhi : 110065.
November 9th, 2012 Meeting with Ministry Officials

Mr. Pankaj Agrawala, Secretary (CA) along with other ministry officials discussed and reviewed the NCH project with NCH team members.
November 5th, 2012 JAGRITI-Consumer Awareness Program in Indian Agricultural Research Institute, PUSA Campus

National Consumer Helpline organized a consumer awareness program at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, PUSA Campus, Delhi-110012 , on Monday the 5th of November 2012 for spreading the message of consumer protection.

Senior Counsellor, NCH participated in the Consumer Education Workshop organised by Reliance communication at Mahalaxmi Plaza Sector-3 Vaishali, Ghaziabad.

Sector Incharge, Telecom participated in the open house discussion organised by TRAI, on the following three topics - Unwanted Commercial Calls, Emergency Response System and Frequency Allocation on Private Case.

A Conference on 'e-courts: Present and Future' Was organised by C-DAC & High Court of Delhi at India Habitat Centre Lodhi Road, New Delhi. NCH Officials attended the same.

Members of NCH met officials of Confederation of Real Estate Developer's Association's of India (CREDAI) to understand each other's working model; to discuss consumer problems in real estate sector; consumer's grievance redressal hierarchy in CREDAI and NCH. Lastly to discuss ISO-10002 world class standards for consumer complaints Handling Management.

NCH put up a stall in the Annual Festival ‘Ullas’ of Kamla Nehru College for spreading consumer awareness among the students of the college.
