Statistical Distribution of Complaints Received at NCH :
• In the month of October 2016, National Consumer helpline handled 22371 cases, which includes complaints registered on the Website consumerhelpline.in as well as sms received. Out of this, 15044 calls were handled at Toll free number, which includes the 693 unique count of sms and 7321 complaints were reported on NCH Website against various companies.
• 897 emails were received (out of which 539 have been responded to). Out of 36 letters (hard-copies) received, 9 were answered.
• The NCH Website www.consumerhelpline.gov.in has registered 2,09,956 hits during the month.
